Squad Swimming

Squad Focus on performance, development, endurance and technique.

Squad swimming lessons These levels offer more advanced progression of the competitive strokes, working on speed, stamina and techniques such as dives, turn and finishes

As our swimmers progress through the stages teaching becomes coaching. Squad swimming is aimed at young swimmers who are looking to keep fit, or continue their swimming towards becoming a competitive swimmer.

At the end of our squad swimming swimmers will be able to swim a minimum of 400m+, understand and be able to swim all four competitive strokes. Use correct starts and turns relating to the strokes, and have a clear understanding of other activities, We to produce a rounded swimmer, who can then decide whether to swim for fun, fitness, competition or move into a more specific water based activity.

We have two time trial events a year to see how you are progressing. We also work closely with Eastbourne Swimming Club if you are good enough to compete at county level.
